The Learning Spaces

Changing the classroom from a traditional learning space:

• Designed for the students - their needs

• Flexible.

• Goes beyound the physical classroom environment.

• Open space. 

• Displays which are interesting and assisst learners. 

 

This website is aimed at teachers focusing on the six learning spaces and is aimed to expose teachers to practical and theoretical components of the learning spaces. Through this website the concepts of the six learning spaces will be expanded on and will aim to change how you, the audience, understand and develop your own learning spaces.

This website will go through each learning space in detail. For each space it will outline:

• What the space is

• Strengths and challenges of the space for both teachers and students

• Theoretical aspects

• How the challenges can be addressed

• Approaches, strategies and resources to be considered when developing / redeveloping the space
